I would go for the green stuff pads... red is for hard track use I think... :?: :?:

I'd say email clive from power brake and explain what disks you already have and what you are gonna use the car (like track days etc.) and see what he can recommend you. I think that would be your best bet for some good advice.

Green Stuff light cars <200 hp
Red Stuff Heavy Cars >200hp
Yellow Stuff = Awesome but dont make for s13

So red stuff it is, btw who calls pads "stuff"

ye was thinking of doing that, but i cant by from them, got to do it through a dealer. Does speedshop do them?

Yes they do but are quite pricey, get quarter mile to give you the price so you make sure that is what you pay for them.

Has no one ever looked into pads?

rratadmin04 Aug 2008, 14:56

Phoned Quartermile

Red Stuff R1023
Green Stuff R900

The guy told me the red ones dont work well when cold but for heavy street and the odd track will be the better one of the two.

for normal driving the green ones.

GGary5704 Aug 2008, 15:15

Get the red stuff.

rratadmin06 Aug 2008, 14:41

Quartermile can get yellow stuff pads for R1320

Just waiting for money to buy them

GGary5706 Aug 2008, 15:08

Guess when racing that day he found that the brake fluid was boiling and then you need to upgrade your brake fluid "strength" if I can call it that?

Am I missing the plot here?

TTrance10106 Aug 2008, 23:31

If you are looking for dot 5 barke fluid, make sure to get the dot 5.1 fluid and not the dot 5 silicone based stuff. The silicone based fluid is mainly suited for pure racing use and needs to be changed often.

I'm not too sure where you can find dot 5.1. I've seen some at my local midas but only in a few tiny little bottles.
