Missn my Z now

SSuperBaas22 Feb 2009, 07:36

Thanks Guys, I am from Johannesburg. Heres a dyno with below stock boost with the new turbs and untuned. Dyno ATW

jjon22 Feb 2009, 09:00

No replacement for displacement, those are numbers some s13 owners would kill for, especially the torque figure 😀

VVladeadmin23 Feb 2009, 03:27

someone once said that the 300ZX TT is the most under rated super car ever built, because it was brutal for its time, few things could come close.

Welcome... 🙂

DDracomoderator24 Feb 2009, 08:21

Hey superbaas, I contacted you on the other forum for injectors, I have the Z31 Z, welcome, cabby looks great!!!!

SSuperBaas24 Feb 2009, 08:55

Heya Draco...thanks

RRBSX24 Feb 2009, 15:41

welcome bro

tht is 1 awsome car

its what made me fall inlove with nissans in the first place

300zx......nicely done 😀

RReeceZ25 Feb 2009, 02:05

That's pretty much back to the stock kW that nissan said it would be when left the factory, but then how many cars are exactly the same amount of power that you see in the brochure 🙄 . I absolutely love this car, its heavy as f@#k, but i love it.

jjon25 Feb 2009, 07:50

Um, no. That dyno graph is showing rear wheel power, not flywheel power. Very good increase over stock. 😂

SSuperBaas25 Feb 2009, 08:16

Yes Jon you right....its on the wheels....stock is 220kw....on the fly it would be around the 300kw mark...about 80kw over stock with just the turbo upgrade and cat removal. The car is completely prepared for 350-400 on the wheels with the right injectors. The exchange rate and some patience is the only thing that stopping me from getting the upgrade....

One major project detail I forgot to mention. Power with no traction is pointless....hence this major upgrade:

Racelogic with Launch and Shift Control

DDracomoderator25 Feb 2009, 08:36

Wow.....I wish I had the money to play with my Z like that......

I am pretty sure you know but just in case.....I fount 650cc side feed injectors, brand new Serd ones at R1300 per injector and they are availible in Joberg....if he still has it, I am sure he does....

I wanted it but don't have the cash....

I found a damduiker way to upgrade my 370cc to about 450cc, it changes the spray pattern, was scared of that but untill now can not say it is messing up and there is no concrete info on the net that suggests it is a bad spray pattern, I mistakenly did it with only 1 injector and I am on the verge of doing thet mistake to all the injectors 🙄

Nice injector upgrade with no costs.....

SSuperBaas25 Feb 2009, 08:52

so how do you do this upgrade? Give some details if please

PPinkfluffybunnys25 Feb 2009, 09:22

Please don’t tell me you’re re-drilling or changing pintel needle travel length. I don’t recommend this at all if you need to boost your injector slightly bump the fuel pressure or buy bigger. Re-drilling and changing the pintel length does effect the atomization of the fuel the same way increase your fuel pressure does past around 4/5 bar

DDracomoderator25 Feb 2009, 09:31

I tried to download a pic to f*cktupbucket but it's f*ckt up again......

it is as simple as taking the senter pin forcing the spray pattern off, it restricts the injector to force the spray pattern, if you hold the injector horizontal and take pliers, hold the plier vertical and press the pin side ways it brakes off inside the injector, the point of the pin comes out removing the restriction, more fuel comes out, I tested it, the injector sprays much more fuel in a stady streamy pattern, I am guessing on the amout it sprays more but it might be close to 50% more.

The spray patter turns to the far right, they call it the "lucas disc" pattern, all they say about the spray pattern is that it is not good for fuel economy and best for high flow needs....which is the point....

DDracomoderator25 Feb 2009, 09:47 · edited

As I said, it is a damduiker way, many might not approve and most propably will not approve, I have tested the result per minute, not measuring the cc's but the amount.....and checking the spray pattern...

here is another example off the net, it changes to a more streamy tipe pattern, like they show here..."good" it is no more a misty spray coming out....
