**Howsat Guys

I just wanted to say thank you for all the advice on buying a SX , I listened closely and followed all the advice.

I found a clean SX at a good price and now I am finally happy.

Flew to Johannesburg and drove it back to Cape Town , R850 petrol. Not as heavy as all the reports were. Very impressed. Amazing handling and performance.... WHAT A CAR !

Cheers .........Fellow SX Freaks

😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂**

Now that ur a full member, your first initiation is to do donuts around a metro police van.

AAndrew.200SX16 Mar 2009, 09:45

Did that with my Opel that I sold , not a wise idea . LOL

A lot of please and explaining to get out of lock up on that one !

Was fun though.

Hi Andrew,
Welcome to the club,The SX is an amazing car,Has LOADS of potential.
Are you in Cape Town?

RReeceZ16 Mar 2009, 10:16

Sjoh 😮 well hope to see pics of the cab up soon and any mods you're doing

AAndrew.200SX16 Mar 2009, 10:28

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Yeah , I am in Cape Town.

I want to keep the car as comfortable and amazing as it is , and unlike the ass-about-face things that I did on my previous car , I am going to specifically look for the exact changes that I want without comprising comfort and looks.

I am so impressed and happy with this car , that if I had my way, I would write a novel on this forum about all the great things that I feel and foresee for my new Baby.

😂

Still a BMW fan , I still have my 328i , but I am now officially a SX man for life ! 😛 🙂

Ha! I'll give you a month before you wana change something on the car. first mod almost everyone does is a cone filter 😂

AAndrew.200SX16 Mar 2009, 10:40

Yeah , I know what is going to happen . I was allready bitching about the .6 bar boost on the way down from jo'burg.

I am looking for an intercooler with plumbing specifically for the CA18( I don't want to have to make pipes fit) and I am ordering a chip from the UK that with the boost re-set to 1 bar will push her up to 186 kw's , ( if the experts are to be believed - hope so)

I was fortunate enough to find out that Faheem ,the SX specialist, lives a quartermile away from me. How's that for coincidence.

🙄

AAndrew.200SX16 Mar 2009, 10:42

I was fortunate enough to get the car with a cone filter and 76mm stainless exhaust system allready fitted.

Bonus

😂

ppoizenmoderator16 Mar 2009, 10:44

i bought my 700.300.76 fmic withe all the pipes for 4k from speed shop had to do abit of fabricating to re route the pipes so didnt have to remove the battery but it too a day to complete it all

AAndrew.200SX16 Mar 2009, 10:49

I have a workshop in Cape Town. So nothing is really an issue. I just want to try and get purpose built parts for the car , for neatness , purpose and reliability.

ppoizenmoderator16 Mar 2009, 10:55

well take a look at my project the fmic is there

RReeceZ16 Mar 2009, 11:15

Why r u putting a chip in. go with an engine management. 186kW 😕 thats gona be a highly stressed CA. what other mods do you to support that

AAndrew.200SX16 Mar 2009, 12:14

According to the guys in the Uk, only mods needed are , cone filter , larger diameter exhaust and raise boost to 1 bar.

This is part of the ad:

**STAGE 1 (you will need)

Standard injectors,Free flow air filter, free flow exhuast.

YOU WILL GET 250 bhp at 15 psi boost.................**

They say that it will be reliable . I am not going to drag with car anyway . I drive respectably , it is only when a VW driver or the like thinks that they can beat me robot to robot.

Silly buggers !! 😛
