Ok so i have the Innovate installed(plugged in). But the readings i get are scary. Ive got the lamda in the downpipe where the standard lamda goes on a japspec motor. What should the AFR be at idle and constand crusing?
AFR??
dude...
try to move the AFR sensor. thats not the ideal place for it as it will get too hot there, and that could affect its lifespan.
new sensor from bosch diesel electric is R2500-00 ex vat!
as for AFR's - what readings you getting? rich or lean?
sometimes with my car off, the gauge reads 132 AFR!!! seems quite lean!!!
lol - on idle i've aimed for 14.2-14.7. on boost i've aimed for 12's, the sr20 likes 12.
on off throttle i get as lean as 16-17.
Idle/crusing i get 7,4
Off throttle 20.9
Floorboard anything from 3 downwards even into the .0x
But yes ill move it, was just to lazy to get in under the car.

Hmm it must be the sensor not the car, My car wont Idle at anything richer the 12.0 it goes into like a hot cam Idle
Hope you sort it dude, You running Nistune to sort out the fueling?
Is your LM2 set to gasoline petrol or mehanol??
yeah i was thinking the same thing...
check the settings on the unit!
and did you do a free-air calibration before you plugged it in?
my sr20 wont run at richer than 8-9. let alone idle, rev up, etc!!! and 0 with the foot flat? definitely something up with the unit, not the car!
Where do i change between feuls?
I didnt do the free air cali, but when i calibrate its get 20.9 on the dot.
It is one of the menus on the LM2, check the manual.
and do the free air calibration dude!

He did...
but when i calibrate its get 20.9 on the dot.

I did the calibration while it was in the downpipe. But stil got the right reading ,should i do it free air rather? Another thing, if i change either the airflow meter adjustment or feul presure the afr stays the same. That cant be right???
I think you have some wrong setting on the LM2, when you calibrate it it must be done in free air.
READ THE MANUAL before doing anything else.
Thanx for the advice so far. I read the manual tonight. any thoughts on where the best posi for the lamda would be?
200mm away from the turbo, remember to point it downwards hey (the wire at 10 o clock or so).

Cool thanx.
i put mine on top of the pipe as it levels out.
advantages:
1. protected by downpipe in front of it. no stones or other debris can really get to it.
2. its pointing straight down. no residue build up to cause it to fail.
3. its far enough away from the hot turbo
4. its close enough to the big grommet behind the abs unit, so the plug and wire can go into the cabin there.
5. its easy enough to remove with only one side of the car up if you need to.
cons:
1. dunno of any!
So i read the manual , conected the the laptop , ran the logworks 3 program and it is set to gasolene but stil the readings are all over and 7.4 is even in bold leters. Ill get the bung welded on this afternoon and than do the free air calibration. Vc , how do you power your laptop whiles driving, inverter or stepdown transformer?
it was some hackjob that the owner did! 😂 😂 😂
i think it was 12v wired straight into the cable. so it was direct from the battery!
laptop hey? you running different management now?

Not yet just wanted to see how the logworks look.
you dont need the laptop in the car for that!
thats the what the memory card is for!
