๐ ๐ I should know this out of my head by now ,we ship so many tyres 'back' to durban. ๐ ๐ ๐
We generally ship airport to airport, these generally arrive the next day, once payment is reflected in our account. Airport shipment is more efficient than regular road freight.
the costs are based on volumetric weight and differ with tyre dimensions. They are as follows for the 235/40/17.
1Tyre=R170
2Tyres=R270: R135.00 a tyre
3Tyres=R400: R133.34 a tyre
4Tyres=R520: R130.00 a tyre
5Tyres=R625: R125.00 a tyre
6Tyres=R740: R123.34 a tyre
Tired of calculating now...lol....basically if there are group buys, you guys get discounts for the number of tyres and then if there is shipping involved you can see the cost per tyre is reduced.
You can of course arrange for your own shipment and we can leave the tyres Ex-Works for your courier to collect.
Please note DBN, JHB are lower rates than PE, EL, George, BLM and other small airports who deal with cargo.
๐ I got a meeting...chat soon....and call me if you need anything.

I think so too, but...if there's anyone with better rates, that have the same turn around time..I'm always keen to check it out....can only be better for me and the customer... ๐
Hey anyone have an idea what kind of milage these would get if used on a Daily drive??

THe UTQG rating is 180 AA A.
So this is a tyre with generally a short lifespan, because of it's intended use and soft compound structure. The rating also means that this tyre is good under wet weather driving and braking. keeping in mind this is a semi slick. ๐
But....with that said....driving with it daily in a non abusive manner would give you a fair lifespan.
I drive with them, have had them on the car for approximately 27000 kms. I really didn't expect this kind of mileage. But then again. To each their own....when it's time to race I race, when not...I don't. ๐ So I don't abuse them all the time.
Now, I don't make much power and I do abuse it at the track on drags and main circuit and I've noticed that...while they don't take much of a pounding, they also don't become 'disfigured' after an Open Track Day..so they are up to the challenge of Drag/Race abuse.
Note: As with any directional tyre you will exprerience harmonic road noise....I must admit my car's exhaust and intake are too loud so that's the least of my worries..... ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐
Can you get road tyres?? ๐ I only get 15000km on a set of my Toyos...

27000kms is awesome for semi's
27000kms is awesome for semi's
My Toyos are rated at 280, these are 180, I cant see me getting more than 8000km.

Ja, How about the Drift Competition Range ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ It's rated at 240 A A. ๐ ๐ ๐
OR do you want road 'road' tyres ๐

Ja but I drive a FWD. So I can only do burnouts ๐ณ ๐ณ ๐ณ ๐ณ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ You RWD can punish the tyres when you... dlift,...dlift dlift! ๐ ๐ ๐

It depends really on how you drive, to be honest....these are soft 'semi slicks'....
Generally with UTQG rating's for the general public. Rating's over 100 are good and under 100 mean they are 'bad'....but Ala M3 CSL with Michelin Pilots at a hectic 80 A A......they soft and grip leka but are sad in the wet ๐ ๐ ๐
I need "road" tyres I think, what you got. Need 2 very soon.

Size preference?
True intended use? *I don't want to give you a price on a 'cruising' or 'touring' tyre and you want to use it for drags or to drive 240km/h ๐....so tell me honestly what you expect out of a tyre and I will spec it for you ๐ so it's right!
Daily drive, odd bit of racing, 200kmh once a week or so, needs to handle well.
225/45 R17
225/40/18 - i will need 4 by the end of the year! maybe sooner!
everyday use - minor abuse will be dealt out here and there, but mostly i drive slowly!!!
My Pirelli P6000's on my old Alfa were 140 or 180 UTQG rating and that is hardly a soft compound.
The Toyo R888 Semi slicks I use for autocrossing are 100, and I'd consider anything harder than that to be a road tyre. That Federal hardly looks like a semi slick either compared to the Toyo's or the Bridgestone semis.
A true semi slick is night and day difference in grip and cornering, and they're not bad in the wet either (Toyo R888 is listed by Toyo as a wet weather race tyre) The only problem's are the semis wear quickly and are very noisy, low frequency tread noise.
