why is he wrong gary im running it no problem they dont help seal at all all it does is protect the lil pintail and locate phone durban fuel injection and find out

GGary5705 Aug 2009, 15:56

That piece isnt there for fun, it is there to aid in the atomisation and distribution of the fuel.

What you do is hook that injector up to a flow bench and check the flow pattern and then hook a good injector up and see the difference.

Im not being an ass here, do you remember the injector pintal thread??

yes but gary the guy put it on the flow bench they told me they get broken ones all the time they just take them off it was flowing fine on the bench

its this guys buisiness i dont think he will tell me they perfect when he could get a sale of 4 brand new ones from me

GGary5705 Aug 2009, 16:04

I know Farn at DFI fairly well. He works on fuel injection system for every day cars, he doesnt know much about what will make more power. But believe who you will, no skin off my back. Do some googling or ask PFB they will tell you the same.

i agree with gary - those pintle caps are very important.

the other part of the stuff-up is that they only cost 30 bucks each and snap with the utmost of ease, so you really should've replaced them dude!

well no one tell me and they said i cant get them so if you can inform me and dont say nissan i went there they dont keep stuff for the injector i had one day less than 3 hours to do all this run around town etc now what will you do then when it your daily drive ive got anothere motor as soon as that aravies im fixing it and dropping it in so these injectors can just wait
besides my car running fine no hickups etc

until then like i say it will have to do

TTobyadmin06 Aug 2009, 07:36

Good point poizen, at least your problem is solved for now. Just don't forget to get it properly sorted once the crisis is over 🙂

ppoizenmoderator06 Aug 2009, 07:56

thanks toby least one person can see the reality on my situation i mean i was ready to buy 4 brand new ones from the guy he said no i dont need to

and gary i did reshearch on google came up short best answer i found oh yes you need that cap else you wont be able to hold the sealing ring on the injector

so if your google skills are better please show me a article that shows otherwise that what a trained professional knows then cool cos i really cant find anything on the net

ppoizenmoderator06 Aug 2009, 09:00

i dont really believe anyone nowdays so yea any way enuf blabble here check the new event blog please attend

vveecee06 Aug 2009, 09:43

with an attitude like yours you shouldn't really own an sx - it will be bad for your wallet!

also - had you given all the information, then we wouldnt be having this argument.

and about gary and i, and what we know or dont know about cars... perhaps get your facts straight before you make yourself look like the idiot. for example, i know nothing about Faan, or his "training", so i will not be making any comments about that. all i know is...

if he thought it was a permanent solution, then he gave some wrong advice.

if he knew it was a quick fix, then he helped you resolve the issue.

make of that, what you will.
