i discover lots of smoke is coming from the exhaust ... some time black somes white... hope is nothing major here...
what could the problem be? my anti-freez? or i am losing compression in my cylinders? over fueling??? or head gasket? but i have cometic HG ><
smoke from the exhaust....
Turbo Seals?
blue smoke for turbo oil seals.

cometic has only been in for 1000km
Was the head and block checked for straightness and skimmed as needed when the hg was fitted?
Here is a little smoke guide to help you diagnose:
black: overfuelling
blue: oil being burnt (rings)/turbo oil seals
White: turbo/HG/condesation
When and how bad does it smoke?
Check under oil filler cap and rad cap for mayo type substance, if that is fine then you know it isn't the head gasket.
Is the exhaust new?

it smokes every now and then... somes times it would not smoke at all
under the radiator cap there is some copper color stuff...
the exhuast is the oem 200sx item... dont want to put my new exhuast on before i sort out the problem
Is it loads of smoke? or puffs?
The copper color just means you need to flush your water system. So I pressume there is no mayo like substance? If there is non under the oil filler cap then you can be happy its not your head gasket.
If it's just puffs every now and then, its bound to either be condensation in the exhaust or the turbo showing first signs of going. When you put your exhaust on you will probably find you will need to replace the turbo oil seals as the lack of back pressure will cause the seals to go. I'd refresh the turbo at the same time as doing your exhaust.
The black smoke is more than likey your car just over-fueling slightly (depending on how bad and how much you are getting).
What all has been done to your car? Is it still running standard map?
it mostly puffs and smokes some times...
i am still using the standard ECU... just want to sort out all problems before i plug in the power FC...
the car is standard... except a air filter for now...
Refresh the turbo, get the exhaust on, take the car to a mapper, connect power fc and get the mapper to set it up properly.
He will let you know if there are any other issues.
You can run a bigger FMIC, Exhaust and free flow filter on a standard map so you can get the turbo and exhaust part done first and see if the problems are gone. They more than likely will be.
thanx man
this sound like small problem.... as long as i dont have to drop the engine or open it... will try to sort out everything next week... see if the smokes still exist
No worries, yeah just small things that happen with older turbo charged cars (or just 200's haha)
Let us know how you get on
busy sorting things out... find that my power steering fluids are leaking too...><
took out the turbine.... find that Turbo is dead and sucking oil... ^^
Well that sorts that then, time for an upgrade 😀
thanx man... now deciding go lower mount ... or top mount.... wastegate instead or Actuator^^
Depends on how much you have to spend, top mount requires a bit more work and money (obviously). What turbo you going for? Anything too small looks silly top mounted tbh.
if i go bottom GT-RS if top mount GT3037s-pro for sure^^
looking forward to see what you get done 8)
summary of top mount
HKS GT3037s = $1500
Top Mount MANIFOLD + DOWNPIPE SET =$350
HKS GT Wastegate = $400
Nismo 740cc injectors x4 =$700
nismo fuel pump = $150
nismo fuel regulater = $150
...$3250/R22425!!! ><
And mapping/ecu depending on your current spec
