Wow.
Alright finished the last few things on the car.
Painted the calipers.
--------------------------

Nice Polish and wash
------------------------

In the past few weeks , I have spent more on the car then I hoped to bring in up to spec.
Windscreen - R700
Brakes, Rotors, brake fluid - R1450
Rims and Tires - R4500
Service Parts and flushing agents - R1000
Total with Purchase - R42650.
Rant:

I know I am generalizing with this post but whoever tells you to buy a car from a Lady or an Old man has no idea what his talking about.
This car wasn’t cared for, it’s a commuter vehicle from point A to point B , the bare minimum was done to keep it on the road.
Example:
-----------
When I did the disks it took me 30 minutes a side and a massive hammer to remove the old disk from the HUB (with the bolts pulling it from the hub), I still think it’s the same disk fitted to the car 17 years ago at Nissan.
The brake pads didn’t exist, the inside pad was metal on metal for a few 1000km’s
The Oil was tar, it took me four flushes to get it clean, Radiator water was rust basically , Two flushes to get it clean
There was a rats nest in the Airbox (Really) and the MAF had a layer of sand on it.
When I pressure washed the car there was more sand on my drive way then in my garden , I have done this twice and more sand keeps coming out.
The last time the car was polished was 17 years ago, I spent almost R500 on Maguire’s products and about 8 hours to get that paint semi decent.
Wheel Alignment shot , Resulting in all the tires being shot
The car was so under powered that when coming back from Delareyville (Where I bought the car), my wife was kicking my ass the whole way back with her GWM 1.5 Florid (no Sh%t) , Turns out that the Throttle stopper was screwed in all the way so at wide open throttle , I was only getting 1\3 the way on the throttle body.
But on a nice note after all the stuff has been fixed on the motor she is a real gem, perfect compression across the board with no sounds or smoke of any kind
Rant Over….
I see the red calipers and I have to ask myself - did you run out of blue? 😛
Looks like you got a good bargain there.
Must say these cars is starting to get into my head...

NISTune Install
I thought I would do a little write up on the installation of the NISTune Type 3 board and show you how time consuming and involved it is turning your OEM ECU into a stand alone unit.
Step 1 - Locate your ECU
Time - 5 Minutes
------------------------------
Find your OEM ECU

Step 2 - Remove OEM ECU and bracket
Time - 2 Minutes
------------------------------------------------

Step 3 - Remove ECU covers
Time - 2 Minutes
----------------------------------

Step 4 - Solder in 40 Pin Connector
Time 45 Minutes
-----------------------------------

Step 5 - Install NISTune board
Time 1 Minute
-----------------------------------

Step 6 - Install ECU
Time 5 Minutes
-----------------------

**Just look at that cut up harness hope my soldering holds, Thats not right, I forgot I didn't cut a wire,Next load the Start-up map and head to the dyno, No Wait? That's not right aswell
Ow Yes, Just Load your stock Nissan Map and start the car and drive, That sounds Right**
Step 7 - Plug in your consult cable
Time - 5 minutes
-----------------------

**Now you can start tuning , On the stock map keeping all your stock functions,No step up motors, no crank angel sensors, Just plug in and go tuning.
Time to see what the stock motor can do 🙂**
Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
long over due for update
Thats awsome, i didnt know nistune was that simple, how does the cable connect from the ECU box?
on the ca ecu u solder a usb socket into the ecu pcb
then just plug into laptop
